The BD-C7900 1080p 3D Blu-ray Disc Player design button-less front face, with a pretty cool see-through top over the disc drive area. It’s illuminated, along with a 3D Blu-ray logo, with dynamic white LED’s (which can be turned off if desired) and the touch-sensor transport buttons (stop, play/still, eject and power) along the front top edge of the player. The remote is non-illuminated and is pretty comfortable to hold with nicely laid-out flat buttons. Connectivity jacks are 2 HDMI out (1 audio only), 1 component and 1 composite video, 1 L/R RCA audio out, 1 optical audio out, 1 ethernet and 1 front USB jack.

Samsung BD-C7900 includes an internal 1GB of storage for BD-Live stuff (actually only about 600MB free out-of-the box though) or you can use the USB jack in the front for it (no rear jack). The USB also allows for reading media from thumbdrives, etc. Picture and audio quality are excellent, with the usual adjustments and presets available to you. Boot-up is almost instantaneous and BD disc loading speed (with and without Java) is extremely fast.The picture quality and audio are top notch…perfection.

Acer LumiRead eBook will be launch this October

Now an Acer has announced that the LumiRead eBook reader will be set for an IFA showing, October launch in Germany, with a speculated price of around $316. Acer claims that it’ll sport one of the widest German-language e-libraries on any eReader. Benefits of the Acer LumiRead include Wi-Fi, 3G wireless, a 6-inch 800 x 600 pixel E-ink display, and a Barnes & Noble content partnership.

Acer are hoping to differentiate eBook with their ISBN-scanner, it’s designed to “scan ISBN codes so you can create your own wish-list and search on supported online libraries and book stores,” according to the press release. This turns the e-reader into a clever portal to the e-publishing world, letting you simply scan the code of a book you like, in a store, library, or someone else’s bookshelf, and find the equivalent e-version.

Toshiba Android Tablet scheduled to arrive by October

According to Digitimes, Toshiba’s first tablet PC will be powered by Nvidia’s Tegra 2 processor and run on Android. Digitimes reports plans from Toshiba to produce an Android-based touch-screen tablet computer, due out in September or October of 2010.

The report goes on to say that the tablet will be 10-inches, run on the Android Operating System, and have NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 processor tucked inside. Basically, it sounds like it has the potential to be a great machine. We have no specs and features for you.

Adobe has fallen in love with Android

The Adobe’s mobile strategy is now tied to the long-term success of Android, it was removed by a day-long presentation by Adobe executives and managers about how Adobe is adapting its technologies to Android. Dubbed the “Android Summit,” the series of presentations to the press emphasized how core Adobe technologies such as Flash and AIR are being optimized for Android on phones, tablets, and eventually televisions when Google TV is released.

Adobe originally sought Apple as a partner, dating back to at least 2008 as iPhone growth exploded. But the Apple-Adobe rift was the story of this past spring, with Apple CEO Steve Jobs bashing Flash and Adobe in an open letter, Google and Adobe firing back during the Google I/O event in May, and the official shift of the battleground in the Great Fanboy Wars from Windows versus Mac to Android versus iPhone.
